The city of Hanover enjoys a favorable connection to adjacent major cities in Germany, as it lies at the junction of the main north-south and east-west traffic routes and railway lines.
Hannover airport is located at the far side of the city, thus direct travel time from the terminal to the conference venue is about 70 minutes with public transportation (by car: 30 min.). The easiest way is to take the “S-Bahn” line S5 to Hanover-Nordstadt and change there to subway line U6 direction “Messe/Ost”. The conference venue is a 4 min. walk from the final stop. Connections via Hanover central station and an additional change at Kröpcke may save a few minutes.
From Hanover central station, follow the signs “Messe” and take one of the following underground lines U1/U8 to “Aegidientorplatz” (two stops). There, change to subway line U6 heading towards “Messe/Ost” located on the opposite side of the platform. The conference venue is a 4 min. walk from the final stop. A one-way ticket costs 3,5o Euro.
Coming from the north or south, you will take the autobahn A7 to Hanover. The A37/B3/B6 (“Messeschnellweg”) then is the best approach road to the conference venue. Simply follow the signs “Messe” and exit at “Messe Süd” onto the Lissabonner Allee / Weltausstellungsallee. The conference venue, Expo Plaza 11, is located close to a major non-roofed (!) pedestrian bridge. Free parking space is very limited, but car parks (fee) are available.
